Ingredients

  • smoked paprika - 0.25 tsp
  • cayenne pepper - 0.125 tsp
  • garlic powder - 0.25 tsp

Steps

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the Chickpeas: After draining and rinsing the chickpeas, pat them dry thoroughly using a kitchen towel or paper towels. Removing as much moisture as possible will help them become crispy.
  3. Season the Chickpeas: In a bowl, toss the chickpeas with olive oil, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, and salt until evenly coated.
  4. Roast: Spread the chickpeas in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 25–30 minutes, shaking the pan halfway through to ensure even roasting, until the chickpeas are golden and crispy.
  5. Cool and Serve: Let the chickpeas cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before serving. They will continue to crisp up as they cool.
