  • Baking Powder :0.17 tsp
  • Liquid Smoke :0.33 tsp
  • Vegan Chicken Bouillon :0.67 Tbsp
  • Neutral Oil :1 Tbsp
  • Water :2 Tbsp
  • Salt :0.33 Tbsp
  • Brown Sugar :1 tsp

Steps

  1. Combine everything but the vital wheat gluten in a food processor and blend into a paste.
  2. Add the vital wheat gluten and blend until a soft, sturdy dough forms. Knead until you can stretch it out with visible gluten strands.
  3. Shape the dough into a loaf, coat with oil, and rub poultry seasoning on it.
  4. Wrap tightly in Heavy Duty foil and bake at 350°F for 1 hour and 5 minutes.
  5. Allow it to cool, then refrigerate overnight for better texture.
  6. The next day, unwrap and brush with glaze, then bake a few times to crisp the outside.
